Common Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Clear answers to help you plan your pilgrimage to the Rafa Nadal Academy.

Why should I book through an Australian venture instead of directly?

Booking through Mallorca Tennis Experience provides you with the security of an Australian Registered Business (ABN) and the convenience of local support. We bridge the gap between Australia and Mallorca, ensuring your investment is protected under Australian consumer law. Plus, you get exclusive access to our Australian coaching network and a seamless, curated experience that a direct booking simply cannot offer.

How do the travel logistics work from Australia?

We handle the on-ground experience, but you will need to arrange your own flights to Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI). Once you arrive, our team takes over. We include VIP airport transfers directly to the Rafa Nadal Academy, ensuring a stress-free start to your residency.

Is the program suitable for all tennis levels?

Absolutely. The residency is designed to cater to a wide range of abilities, from competitive juniors to recreational adults. Players are grouped by UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) or ITN levels to ensure you are training with peers of a similar standard.

Does this include training at the Rafa Nadal Academy?

Yes, this is an official residency at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar. You will live, train, and recover within the academy's state-of-the-art facilities. Our program includes the full academy training methodology, giving you the authentic experience of a pro player living on campus.

What are the age requirements for Junior vs. Adult programs?

  • Junior Program: Open to players aged 8 to 18 who are looking for a high-performance environment.
  • Adult Program: For players aged 18+, offering a balance of intensive training and social connection.
  • Leisure Packages: We also offer specific 'Player & Non-Player' packages for adults traveling with partners.

Do I need travel insurance?

Absolutely. It is a mandatory requirement for all participants to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers sports activities and medical expenses in Spain. We recommend securing your insurance as soon as you confirm your program to protect your investment.

Do I need a visa to travel to Spain?

Australian passport holders generally do not need a visa for short stays (up to 90 days) in Spain for tourism or sports training. Requirements can change, so we strongly recommend checking the latest advice from Smartraveller or the Spanish Consulate before you fly.
